A baseball “Hard Knocks” series featuring the Giants? Why not?

Brian Wilson

Entertainment Weekly reports:

Is Showtime looking to steal a page from the HBO playbook and air its own Hard Knocks-type series? EW has learned that Showtime is in early talks with producer Mike Tollin to do a docuseries that focuses on the San Francisco Giants.

I think the same people who came up with the term “docuseries” came up with “dramedy” back in the 80s. Remember John Ritter in “Hooperman?”  Nah, me neither.

Anyway, I suppose this would be worth watching.  But my guess is that they’ll just give Tim Lincecum, Brian Wilson and Pat Burrell all the screen time, hoping that they do something wacky.

What’s Wilson’s beard doing right now?

You’d think MLB Network would have jumped on that sooner.

Hopefully this show will catch the random 1st time injuries to the Giants starting rotation that we have been assured will happen and will ruin their 2011 season.

Or maybe they will catch Posey on tape “regressing”. Regress: “To return to a previous, usually worse or less developed state.” Maybe he will regress to his minor league or college stats????

“Anyway, I suppose this would be worth watching.” Sorry Craig, I’m sure everyone is disappointed it’s not the Yankees, Red Sox or Phillies.

Please, name a team that has more intriguing personalties than the Giants.

MLB network did do “the bullpen” with the phillies in 2009. great year for that! it wasn’t nearly as good as hard knocks though

That is great. Brian Wilson definitely needs his own show, he’s out of his mind. Either with Lincecum (or the kid from Dazed and Confused, are they one in the same?) as his sidekick or “the beard.” WWTBD, where the Beard makes all the decisions.
