Yesterday manager Don Mattingly reiterated that the Dodgers won’t be bringing back Manny Ramirez and today general manager Ned Colletti also ruled out signing free agent Johnny Damon.

Colletti also indicated that the Dodgers are unlikely to sign Scott Podsednik, telling Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times that he’s instead focusing on right-handed-hitting options who could potentially platoon with the left-handed-hitting Jay Gibbons in left field.

Despite that idiot McCourt (sell the team, Captain Facelift), I’m glad the Dodgers have Colletti and I’m liking Mattingly more and more as skipper.
