At the right price, Manny is the type of player either the Jays or Rays should sign. Both could contend this year if either the Red Sox or Yanks struggle. In fact each team in the AL East has both upside and question marks. What will allow for some team like the Jays or Rays to upset the balance is if they take a chance on some one like Manny who could put up some large numbers. While doubt Manny has much left, if he takes only a few million it is always possible he surprises everyone with one more offensive run.

Boras poo polishing machine must've been running all night if this is even remotely true. This guy was by most accounts an undesirable hot potato but now we're to believe the climate has suddenly changed?

More likely SB has been pushing faux-interest leaks in order to drum up interest for his stable of clients with diminishing value.

Now that his number #1 client is off the boards, Manny must be next in line.

No question that Ramirez probably still has some talent, but if I'm a GM I go for the less-volatile Guerrero or Thome first.

On the other hand, Tampa might really want Sideshow Manny to sell some tickets at the Empty Dome and perhaps Boras is mentioning other teams to drive up the Rays bid higher than the buck-fifty they would probably offer.

I think Manny would be a great fit with the Twins, if he's legitimately motivated to earn himself one last big payday next offseason.

He could be in a DH-platoon with Kubel and spell Delmon Young in LF without a whole lot of drop-off defensively, sorry Delmon, it's true.

The Twins don't have a lot of right handed punch and it'd be nice to add a Manny or Vlady at what figures to be a cheaper price than Thome and his left-handed bat in an already lefty-heavy lineup.
