		<description><![CDATA[As a Twins fan, this only makes my soul hurt thinking about the Lester/Lowrie/Masterson/Crisp for Santana trade that never happened because Twins&#039; GM Bill Smith was fixated on making the deal with the Yankees for Hughes and Kennedy.

The Yankees pull the plug. The Red Sox see no reason to unload their system if the Yankees aren&#039;t in play and the Twins have to settle for scraps from the Mets.

Gross.

Since then the Twins have had a rotating door at shortstop and struggled to put together a solid rotation. Ah, what could have been...]]></description>
