I wish some major league GM had the balls to sign EVERY player on their roster to nothing but one-year deals. Superstars balk? Too bad. Fill the roster with high-level minor leaguers that are trying to prove themselves. They'll play harder than anyone in the league. The entertainment-to-cost ratio would draw countless fans. Ticket prices can come down. More families can afford to go to a game without having to refinance (or at least not sit 4,000 rows from home plate). Money is ruining the game. Has for a long time. Pretty soon I hope these guys are all playing in empty stadiums. Then the owners will finally pull the plug and say screw it, you're not getting paid that much. Unfortunately, there are still enough idiots out there willing to pay stupid prices to watch 1 of 162 meaningless games.
