Video: Great Moments in Phillies fan history

Jan 19, 2011, 2:14 PM EDT

I was going to stop watching this video the moment something unrealistic was depicted. I watched it all the way to the end.

If someone can prove to me that this is real, I will start believing in God. I promise.

I’m not sure the point of this post. Are you saying this is real or that this is something that we would do even though the video is fake?

B/c the video is fake. it’s the onion.

    • Craig Calcaterra - Jan 19, 2011 at 2:23 PM

      I know it’s fake. It’s a joke.

I’m glad to see you’re still alive, phillygirl4. I thought that video might have been about you. Phew.

He knows it’s fake. It’s Craig’s daily attempt get a rise out of Philly fans. I don’t know about this one though Craig. While the video is funny to a degree and isnt real I would think that making the main subject a child who is dying of cancer might be a little on the low side. I know the point is to rile up us Philly fans and get a reaction but you might want to stick to a higher road than this. I found myself laughing at the video but also kind of cringing that the kid was supposedly dying of cancer. Yesterdays “Terminator” crack was much more clever and more in line with some nice smack talk.

Screw it. The video is pretty damn funny. I take back my previous comment…..

Glad you came around on this, xmatt. ‘Cause that was laugh-loud-enough-that-the-whole-office-knows-you-aren’t-working funny.

C’mon man!! take it easy will ya? It’s fun to bash the Mets and every other team not the Phillies for you right? So it works both ways.

But in all seriousness. If this were true, I’ expect it to be true in Philly before any other city. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

    So sad.

“If you see David Wright, whether it’s on TV or a baseball card or in person at a game, think of him as Allison did: as a pretty boy cocksucker with a noodle arm who deserves to die of cancer like her.”

      Keep her memory alive!!!!

The parents do not get enough credit in this video. Great story.

Being a life-long Philadelphia fan I take all this bulls**t fan criticism with a grain of salt…but this is just wrong on so many levels.

  9. crankyfrankie - Jan 19, 2011 at 9:08 PM

I laughed I cried it was better than Cats. As a Philly sports fan I get it and yes it is strange to be laughing and cringing at the same time.

smiled the whole time. It was funny. I think this video is meant more to be a positive reference to Philly fans passion then a negative swipe at us.
