Think about it. He’ll still get paid won’t he? I don’t recall him flapping his gums like this in the past. The Jeter deal was a mess. Pettitte, mess. starting pitcher situation, catastophy. Soriano deal, he didn’t want it, got it anyway, mess. He’s dropping moderate sized bombs to the media, mess. He’s broken, he hates his bosses and the only way to get is to breach contract and not get paid, or flap his gums until he gets fired for it.

Of course this is all wild speculation and all, and I don’t don’t stand behind these comments in any way. Wow, I sound like Cashman now don’t I?

Just a quick relay about some baseball taking place in the big wide world. The Oceania Championships are currently being held in New Zealand. It’s even getting shown on television which is nice. The commentator who is a rugby/cricket guy is putting in a sterling effort. Probably the biggest story however, is Curtis Granderson and his general good-bloke persona making an appearance down-under. He’s held coaching clinics for school kids, gave insightful interviews between games, and even made the evening news playing cricket with some of the international players. (I am sure there will be something on Youtube with him wearing cricket pads and helmet if you so desire)

Mr Granderson has made a fantastic impact on the locals, and we wish him success for this coming season- Despite him being a Yankee.
