Webb is one of those things that makes being a Mets fan a delight. Win or lose, good game or bad, he does an amazing job and sets the tone for the broadcasters. It’s also really quite amazing that he’s kept the job despite the Mets changing broadcast outlets more than once.

I wish I had known about this, but as someone on Metsgrrl’s blog notes, schlepping to Astoria is a daunting prospect, especially on a winter’s night. I can always hope they put it on YouTube.

Kiner is God. And yes, I’d put him alongside Clapton. While I’d rather listen to Clapton play Mainline Florida than Kiner, I’d rather hear Kiner call a Mets game than Clapton. Guy’s a classic.
