Lets not be mean. His time has come and gone, but he had some good years with some pop in that bat. I don't see many teams signing him anyway.

The only time Troy Glaus should be in the outfield is during warm-ups. I know you didn't mean full time but even a 1/3 of an inning out there would be too much.

At no point was I suggesting he's a regular left fielder. The dude played some left field when he was rehabbing from shoulder surgery is all and it's a position that he can play in a pinch.

He'd undoubtedly be a bat off the bench who could contribute at 3B/1B/DH/LF. No one in their right mind views him as an everyday regular in the field at any position.

To even think of putting Glaus in left is insane; he could barely move at 1B. He complained last season that 1B was harder on him physically than 3B because he actually had to move on almost every play. Given that, how would his glacial speed and shot knees translate into an OF position at all?
When a 34yr old 1B/3B with 54yr old legs takes a season off he might as well be retiring. At best Glaus is DH material that could give a team a spot start or two at 1B, it was painfully obvious to the Braves that he had no range left at 3B late last season.

He makes some sense for the Twins. They could use a little right-handed punch and he can play first, third or left field. Granted, he's really only worth running out there at first base, but he's an option.
