He dove for them because he played so shallow. Do I think he’s crazy for doing that? Yes. Did it allow him to cover more ground? Yes.

He knew exactly how far he could be away from the wall and still make the play on an average ball put into play. He and Andruw were two of the best to play CF over the past 2 decades, if not longer.
