Ever wanted to wear some hip dark frames and manage a major league baseball team? Of course you do. Well, Here’s your chance!

CB Jones of Rays-centric blog DRaysBay has put together a brilliant “Choose Your Own Adventure” game where you star as Joe Maddon.

I won’t give away too much, but the game begins with players deciding whether to give B.J. Upton the green light to steal second base or have John Jaso sacrifice. The rest is sheer brilliance. It almost makes this final weekend before spring training tolerable.

FYI: There’s some mature subject matter in there, depending upon which path you choose. Pack your discretion and sense of humor, please.

The club soda-Merlot thought process is solely worth the read.

Also, Kyle Farnsworth should never be given that much credit.

this one was a good time, reminded me for sure of all the choose your own adventure books i read as a kid. as a rays fan draysbay is must-read, and the way they break things down with stats on top of stats fits perfectly with the organizations philosophies, and they have forshadowed signings the Rays have made by crunching numbers. See Juan Cruz, who they thought would have been signed last year, let alone this year.

Dude, you NEVER put Kyle Farnsworth in the game when you need an out. What a rip off, doesn’t this guy know Farnsworth would give up a two run homer to Jeter instead of inducing the double play ball?

    I mean please.
