There’s a (sorta) new Yankees blog in town

There’s so much stuff written about the Yankees, but much of it is either insane hype or unwarranted pessimism. In the face of that, I’ve found four or five Yankees blogs that are able to provide sharp and sober analysis on a consistent basis. Two of them are TYU and Yankeeist. Well, now I have one less place to surf to read a Yankee-blogger’s take on any given piece of news, because those two shops have merged and are known as The Yankee Analysts.

Come to HBT for the pan-baseball experience, but please patronize team specific blogs too. And if you patronize Yankees blogs, please adjust your bookmarks accordingly to include The Yankee Analysts.

Seems like an interesting blog, I like the article about Moose.
Unrelated, it popped into my head over the weekend speculation about what would have happened if Corey Lidle hadn’t taken those damn flying lessons. He would be in his prime right about….now.

Corey Lidle would be 39 right now. Hardly his prime.

Best of luck to the new enterprise. I’m partial to IAATMS, but all are are good choices.

Lidle was well past his prime already back in ’06, and he wasn’t returning to the Yankees had he not crashed, in any case. He was just a back of the rotation stopgap we picked up at the trading deadline as a throw-in along with Abreu. Over 5 ERA in less than 50 innings… and the third dang Yankee to die piloting a plane. Weird, sad stuff.
