If I were the Mets management I wouldn’t wait to long. He’s a young guy his future is ahead of him. If the Mets wait to long and then try to “low ball” him on a contract he will see what his value is on the open market. With the exception of the injuries in 2009 he has put up some very good numbers over his career.

This may shock y’all, but the comment section’s resident Twins fan is really hoping the Twinkies can land Reyes in a mid-season deal. Alex Wimmers? Ben Revere? Sure, have at ‘em…give us Jose!!

While I do appreciate your point about his injury history, there’s only been one season in the last 6 where Reyes played LESS than 133 games.

I think they just want to see if the guy can play more than 100 games in a season.
