That's a miserable thing. I had it in both heels, mostly the right though, and it lingered for two and a half years. I went to orthopedists and chiropractors who gave me exercises, anti-inflammatory drugs and cold gel packs, you name it. I travel a lot and it made me dread airport concourses like I used to dread the zombie in my closet when I was a pre-adolescent.

Then I saw an article on the Scientific American web site about the anti-inflammatory properties of acai berry. I starting drinking two 12-ounce bottles of Sambazon organic acai juice a day and the damned thing went away in a couple of weeks and never came back, among other things that seemed to change for the better. Coincidence? Maybe. But you'll never convince me of that. I still make myself an acai protein and soluble fiber smoothie every morning, and the inflammation has never returned. Good stuff, that. Give it a try, Scott.
