If Howard "Wolfman" Eskin didn't work in Philadelphia, Paul Domowich and Paul Hagen would be batting for the "Biggest A-hole in the Philly Media" award on a daily basis. Paul Hagen is the same guy who told the world that Ruben Amaro made a great deal when he traded Cliff Lee. Then when he signed him this offseason, he had the balls to write that Amaro corrected his mistake. Huh? Thanks for the consistency Paul. If Ruben Amaro ever quickly stopped walking, Hagen's nose would be firmly planted up Ruben's ass.

Craig, "The Phillies Zone" is a blog within philly.com/sports. The reason it was hard to find is because they archive their blogs everyday. It's kind of annoying. But the story bashing all of this is from Paul Hagen who doesn't like blogs and has said as much in articles before. The writers on that site (which I frequently visit) are somewhat independent of the site itself. Their articles are posted after they are put in the papers. This has caused articles written by a DN writer and an Inq writer that are very much the same, but from two different papers and writers. Again, it's annoying. But what I'm saying is they are not going back on what they said, Hagen is trashing the blogosphere in the paper but it is being link on philly.com/sports where the first blog post was published. Ironic

Craig, you're omitting that Philly.com originally reported the possibility a "mystery strain" and that everyone was surprised that it turned out to be a surprise left-armpit strain, as opposed to the widely-believed right delt or left quad strain that had been hyped in the media for months.

I can't figure out how to relate this to his contract status so I'll leave that to someone else.
