Brian Roberts left Orioles camp yesterday to have X-rays on his sore neck and the news is mostly positive.

Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports that Roberts will skip today’s workouts, but “said his neck feels better” and hopes to be back on the field Friday after getting some treatment to “just try to get it calmed down.”

There was some concern about Roberts’ neck soreness possibly being related to the back problems that caused him to miss nearly the entire first half of last season, but so far at least there’s nothing to indicate that’s the case.
