The Cardinals are saying all the P.C. things about their pitching depth and they still feel good about their staff, etc. But what a galling event for a contending team and that great fan base to lose such a valuable player before a single spring training game is played.

Although, I’m sure Cubs fans are fine with this news.

Yep, Bravo, correct you are. Entering August he was actually polling ahead of Halladay for the Cy, but struggled (for him) in August, gutted through September, looking for win #20, and then was shut down completely once he achieved it.

Maybe he worked out with Dusty in the off-season? That explains Gomes, he was just happy their plan worked.

It’s weird that he was fine last year, and then on like Day 3 of Spring Training, kaboom.

This is worse than not getting a new contract with Pujols….Carpenter was good last year, but had a down year by his standards. We can only hope he returns to his Cy Young form, which at his age isn’t good, not to mention his injury history…

Well this is gloomy news for the Cards not to mention Wainwright. One day, it’ll be things like this that’ll relax the use of HGH because, not much doubt about it, your recovery from surgery is faster and more complete with HGH use (actually if you are a rat its definitive; human trials continue among much anxiety and religious debate). I’m gonna miss watching that guy; he had a rifle for an arm.
