Actually there’s a Lee’s up the street from me. No known man can eat a whole. I get a half. I eat half of that, then eat the other half later, like the next day. We have Gaetano’s where the sandwich whole may weigh more than a small child. Then there are multiple deli’s who do it around here too. Now if I feel extra hungry I may even pick up a Hogs back deli sandwich up near my work. They are a work of art. And HUGE doesn’t describe them properly. You could feed 10 people with a whole. I’ve seen it done at luncheons here. A 4″ slice is belly full. I still say for flavor though nobody can beat Geno’s, even if it’s pricey for what you get.

And I like the “Cliffy’s” idea for Lee’s hoagie shack, but would anyone want to face one down?

It’s kinda rare that something labeled foot long is actually even 12 inches these days. Good thing those 11 1/2 oz. cans of coffee aren’t labeled pound anymore.

There were places around me when I was growing up that had those long ones as large and the mediums were the long ones cut in half. Can’t find any of them these days—but I haven’t been back there in a while, either. Doesn’t Lee’s have something called “belly fillers” or something—like double meat or something? (And they should offer up something called Cliffies, shouldn’t they?)

There was a special on tv about that place, consumer reports??? can’t remember. Anyway I’m sure it’s on you tube. I couldn’t pay much attention as the nurses caused me a sensory overload and I had the strong urge to hump something at that moment. They were so hot I couldn’t concentrate on awesomeburgers. Go figure…..

It’s rare that something labeled a “foot” long is actually longer than 12″. So I’m very surprised that dog is 13″ and not 10 or 11. In many contexts when someone claims an object is a foot long, it might be 7 or 8 inches max.

i just realized that eating something called a “foot” is kinda gross. Though eating a sausage that is 12″ long, not gross but delicious. just don’t call it a foot.
