It’s leaving the wife and kids back home where 32 and sunny feels like spring, watching baseball games by day and swilling pints with (mostly) excellent company by night. Lucky so-and-so : )

It’s 8pm and I’m still stuck here in my office in Chicago. It’s 27 degrees outside. Can’t wait until opening day, when I’ll gladly be playing hookie to catch a game and pick up some vibe!

Take the pin and the card out of that fedora; things indigestible as it is & laminated paper and die cast steel will make the subsequent stomach pumping so much harder. BTW, I have Wells for around .285 -.290 this year, maybe 25-35 homers, mid 90′s for RBIs. I got Beltran for .270, 20 – 30, and 65 or so, averaged over the entire season because, of course his knees are going to make him oh so cautious legging anything out, prevent him from swinging as hard as he might like and then make a wet celery ripping noise around July or so. This is not a hope, BTW and I’ll be happy to be wrong. Still, de-pin & de-card the fedora just to be safe. Oh & get some mustard.

I’m sure you’ll get a hard time from those of us who’d love to trade places with you and watch some baseball in Arizona. But I agree, the games are boring, unless you are playing in them and you are a rookie.

I love that pin and now I want one.

But my big question is: you said A’s fans. Plural. Peyote buttons? Or were there really more than one fan(s) in attendance? As a follow up, were they relatives of the A’s players?
