Ollie pitched 2 innings against a triple a linup save one stating player. He didn’t walk any of these minor leagurrs nor did he strike one out. With a fastball topping out at 87 MPH? Who would sign him and why?

Well, if the release him any other team can pick him up for league minimum. Maybe they are trying to build up some trade value so that they could trade him to someone that was willing to pick a bit more then the minimum.

You never know, could be they saw things in the guy and they’re keeping the heat turned up on him to perform like he aught to. Could be that’s what his next start is all about. Maybe he’s learned the knuckle ball?

My friend Bonderman and Millwood will be picked up before this guys once the Mets cut him lose. Maybe even, probably Colon also.

Only thing I can think is they’re for some reason doing him a favor, giving him a chance to show he can pitch so he has a chance to latch on somewhere. They can’t trade him with that contract.
If he somehow makes the Opening Day roster, there will be a lot of Ketel One consumed here. Why they didn’t cut his sorry butt last September is beyond me.
