The problem with getting a cortisone shot in spring training is that the total number of shots you can get in anyone season is 2 or 3, after that they becomes less effective. The typically give relieve (they don’t heal) for about 4 to 6 weeks. If you are on shot 4, the time shorts to a few days at best.

If it is just tendinitis, rest and cortisone shot would be the way to go and see how he feels in early April. If it is more than just tendinitis, then look for another shot in April and the DL by the all star break.

OK Philadelphia repeat after me I will not overreact I will not overreact. OK maybe Schmidt could come back and Polanco could move to second. Or maybe we can trade two minor leaguers to Texas for Kinsler or maybe trade Blanton to the Yankees for Cano?
