Rather than make an appearance against the Astros in today’s game Phillies closer Brad Lidge has been scratched with biceps soreness, according to Bob Brookover of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

General manager Ruben Amaro Jr. told Brookover that the Phillies “just wanted to back him off for a couple days.”

Lidge was also scheduled to pitch Thursday and for now at least that appearance hasn’t been canceled.

      Yes Hair??

Would you like to discuss the ratio of Brad’s arm soreness as related to sphincter soreness of Phillies fans as their a$$ puckers watching Brad Lidge “close”? Or his 9.00 era so far this spring?

I heard he caught the tendinitis bug from Utley. I guess theres a real contagious strain of it going around in the Phillies club house.

Sounds like mac thinks Lidge caught the kneecap clap that’s plaguing Utley. Well, its only in his tiny right pipe. Didn’t keep him out of games all last season, don’t see why it’ll be an issue this season. Yes, that was sarcasm.
