I live close to Angel Stadium in ANAHEIM (sorry Arte, you moron, it's NOT part of LA!), but have been totally turned off by the Angels fumble-butt front office for quite some time now.

Angel fans, I will have the last laugh come this October because the only place your Angels are going this year is home the first weekend of October. Torii Hunter has never won a ring. Kendry Morales looks more like Chester from the old Gunsmoke TV show than a hitter to fear. Vernon Wells? ROFLMAO! Because the Angels front office totally botched signing Carl Crawford (who has over the past week said that he would have preferred to go to the Angels than to Boston), they hit the panic button and assumed THE worst contract in baseball.

I bet that there was one hell of a big party in Toronto when the Angels said yes to the Wells trade. Wells is a serviceable regular, but he's no $22M/year ballplayer.. not by a long shot. The real issue though is that Wells boat anchor of a contract will be now tied around the Angels necks for the next four seasons.

We all know too that Scott Bor-as_s is going to take Weaver to either Boston or the Yankees via free agency too. Mark my words! Cheer up though Angel fans... you still (at least last I checked), have "5 tool can't miss superstar guy" Brandon Wood! (bwahahahahaha!... Stone-less' legacy!).

Nice teenage attempt at slamming me. So what if I referenced Texeira as being a Red Sox? The reason that I did is because anytime I think of sloth and glutuny (that will get you scrambling for your dictionary... that is, if you own one), I think of the Yankees and all that the Yankees have done over the years to destroy baseball's salary structure, and more significantly the arbitration process.

Because teams like the Yankees, Red Sox and Angels have simply thrown money around like it's going out of style, many small and mid-market clubs are scared to death to offer their free agents arbitration and therefore totally get screwed over by the system and wind up with nothing to show in return for their star players.

That's why I care, son. It's not good for the game and it really unfairly tilts the playing field. Get a clue.

I can't be a Dodger fan either, because I'm white and just wouldn't fit in at Dodger Stadium any more.

The Hunter signing was perfectly ethical and necessary. GMJ sucked and was linked to HGH. Hunter was a HUGE upgrade. Af far as ethics were concerned, Torii had every right not to sign and get a counter offer from another team, but he chose not to. You should be mad at him not The Angels. Why would you care anyway?

I am still waiting for Mark Teixeira to put on that Boston jersey, dude. Get your facts straight.

I'm glad you have chosen to not being an Angel fan any more, purdoodooman. They don't need your type at the games. With your lack of knowlege and uber-judgementally small mind, you'll make an excellent Dodger fan.

Ya... at Kendrys young age, unless the surgery was botched there shouldn't be a reason why his leg shouldn't be fully recovered to where he can't at least walk without a noticeable limp. I could see him needing time to build up his leg strength again (as I've gone through three busted knees and the muscles do atrophy), but not the limp.

Even though I hate the shady way that the Angels operated under former GM Bill Stone-less, I sure hope that this isn't going to be career threatening to Kendrys. Such a senseless injury too!

something else must of happened during this whole time becasue no way it takes almost a full yr to recover from a broken leg to where you cant play..especially in his case being a first basemen who doesnt steal bases etc...regardless the Angels are going to miss him till he is back just like last yr

One of the things that makes me laugh at the Angels is that under former GM (and then way overpaid useless "management consultant"), Bill Stone-less was scared to death to trade any of his "A" or "B" rated prospects, because they ALL were going to be the "next Babe Ruth" or the "next Don Drysdale".

The most untouchable of all Angel prospects was "5-tool, can't miss" guy Brandon Wood. Stone-less EASILY cost the Angels at least one more world series appearance after 2002 because he wouldn't part with Wood to fill other needs that would have surely put the Angels back in the World Series via trade.

Well, it's now 2011 and "5-tool can't miss guy" Wood is about as complete and total of a bust as any top rated prospect that has come along now in years. In fact, Wood is out of options and likely has played his way onto the waiver wire by the end of this month, hitting a sparkling .090 during spring training and playing the infield as if it were made of concrete and the balls in play are all superballs.

LOL on you Arte Moreno (Angel owner)!!! You not only paid Stone-less handsomely, but his ineptness cost you one or more trips back to the World Series as well!

Until Kendrys can stop walking around with a cane and a hitch in his git-a-long, he's not going to be much help to the Angels. Right now he looks like Kirk Gibson limping the bases while dragging one leg behind him after he hit his famous pinch hit home run in the world series way back when.

I live close to Angels Stadium, but I stopped being an Angel fan due to the shady way that they signed Torii Hunter in free agency. At the time, the Angels already had a gold glove center fielder (Matthews Jr.), who had just finished his first year off of a big 5 year deal (at that time no one could have predicted his rapid decline), and the Angels hadn't shown ANY interest in Hunter prior to the day that they signed him.

Why was the signing shady and unethical (albeit obviously legal)? Over and above not needing a center fielder, the Angels simply threw another million dollars a year and another guaranteed year onto the offers he had on the table at the time from both the Rangers and the White Sox and Hunter never gave either team he had been negotiating with for weeks prior to match or make a counter-offer.

Useless Angel GM Bill Stone-less pulled the exact same stunt a few years prior to that when he did the same thing to sign Bartolo Colon. It's just shady and unethical as hell, but welcome to the dark side of professional sports.

I just laughed my butt off though when Boston then turned around and did the exact same thing to Angel owner Arte Moreno with Mark Texeira. Man was Moreno pissed off! Hey fella, what comes around SHOULD go around IMO and you got yours on that one and had it coming to you!!
