Manny's track record is such that his performance in TB is irrelevant to what he might have done if the Dodgers had resigned him. Also, do you honestly believe that any NL team would sign a player with no defensive value?

or more succinctly, the Yanks send Montero, Colon, Joba, Eduardo Nunez and a a 'player to be named later' to the Dodgers for Clayton Kershaw thereby killing the Dodgers chances of contending this year. LOL

'I think Clayton Kershaw breaks out this year...'

Umm... Compared to what? Did Kershaw not have a completely awesome season last year or am I missing something? He was only one of the top pitchers in the NL, or the MLB for that matter.

Please clarify Craig. :-)

Too many ifs, coulds, etc serve to dull one's confidence. Kershaw could be Cy Young Caliber, Kemp and even Ethier could put up MVP numbers and if the pitchings holds up including a strong showing from Broxton and continued health for Kuo, this team could be dangerous. At least those teams that the Dodgers must battle have their fair share of question marks. Wouldn't be surpirsed to see 10 or so teams playing meaningful games well into September.
