It is no coincidence that Alderson was came to work for the Mets as GM. He was sent by Bud to keep an eye on the shop and the Wilpons after they managed to hoodwink everyone in MLB into thinking that they were financial geniuses. MLB is on the hook for over 50 Million dollars to the Mets. That team has squander and mismanaged the euphoria associated with a brand new stadium, a lucrative TV deal and lastly alienated their loyal fan base.

The Mets are bankrupt and MLB’s money has been keeping them afloat. And that Madoff trustee may have his eyes on the Mets as a way to compensates those folks who got taken in that giant Ponzi scheme.

The Let’s Go Mets chant has a different meaning these days. Lets go and find a new owner to take this team in a new direction.

My dad was a die-hard Met fan and if he were alive today he’d be heartsick about the condition of his favorite team.

I’m no Yank fan, but you are exactly right. The competition for the Mets comes from the NL East, but also in their own city. He may have one of the hardest jobs in BB right now. Competing with two payroll powerhouses (Yanks and Phils) that overshadow your positives and put a neon green highlight on the negatives.

He is setting the stage for them to be on the 25 man roster. If he doesnt realize why fans are paying attention, he will on April 1st the calls to the radio shows in NYC start and fans avoid Citi field like the plague
