Blue Jays got a hell of a player in Drabek. i watched him in the minors a couple times and he was dominant. To bad for Jays fans that he’ll probably be traded to a contender in the next 2-3 years.

I hated to see him go in the Halladay trade but I guess we Phillies out there fan can’t complain too much. Perfect game, no-hitter in playoffs, and Cy Young in Roy’s first season. I’m rooting for Drabek to do well. (it’s easy since he’s in the other league, of course).

According to Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com “Toronto is expected to open the rotation with Ricky Romero as the No. 1 pitcher, followed by Drabek, Brett Cecil, Reyes and Litsch. The order is based on the club’s Spring Training pitching schedule to allow proper rest for all members of the staff.”

He will be second because the Jay’s want a lefty, righty, lefty combination at the top of the rotation. He had made the rotation last week because of a strong camp. The pitcher on the bubble was Reyes. His start tonight against the Yankees was to be his big chance to impress. As Morrow is currently expected to only miss 1 start, both Reyes and Litsch will still be pitching for a job once the season begins. As far as Morrow is concerned, he says that his arm now feels OK, but the Jays want to be cautious..
