Curt Schilling bought Jose Canseco’s Lamborghini?

Mar 24, 2011, 12:36 PM EDT

Lamborghini

Random bits falling out of the Barry Bonds trial, as Bonds’ former buddy Steven Hoskins testified (for reasons that aren’t entirely clear) that Curt Schilling once bought a used Lamborghini from Jose Canseco.

I’m guessing that was mentioned at some point in a random Canseco or Schilling feature story, but I find it to be hilarious for some reason. ¬†Mostly because, rather than it being brokered by their agent (who represented both of them at the time), I’m picturing Schilling standing in Canseco’s driveway, both of them looking at the car and haggling, arms crossed.

Yes, it’s a slow news day. Why do you ask?

Ah, this info essentially cost tax payers about $100k

Let’s hope it helps one side win faster.

Maybe the glove box was “loaded?”

I bet Schilling got his price and Canseco went a way feeling screwed. What kind of Lambo, anyways? That’s a Gallardo, there in the photo, which is a kind of a conservative Lambo IMO. I bet it was a Murci√©lago. They tend to be flashier.

Now can we get both of them to just go away?

      • cur68 - Mar 24, 2011 at 1:42 PM

In that car? Hell yes, and real fast, too.

Craig, you’re REALLY looking for a tersely written rebuke from dirtyharry1971 with this one.

I thought this was something Curt did recently. That would have been 100 times odder.

Putting Schilling in that car is like putting a silk hat on a pig!

So…putting Schilling in that car is like putting a silk hat on Schilling?

Pigs the world over are offended at that statement!!!!!

Rumor has it the “bloody sock” was actually transmission fluid from this car, just so happens Schilling had to check it before he showed up that day and used his sock to wipe the dip stick.

Schill would have to be coated in vagisil to squeeze into this thing. the gull-wing doors probably help.

Well there’s an image that makes me want to hurl. Thanks for that.
