I had a teammate in college that ate a woolly worm for $13. He was required to chew it three times and swallow — but we forgot to stipulate he couldn’t swig it down with water. Afterward, we asked him how it tasted, and he said, “Well, on the first bite there was a pop, but that was about it.”

I also had a teammate in independent ball that wore his hair in corn rows, but could pull off a mean Oscar Gamble if he wanted. I got 15 guys on the team to each give him $20 if he would go with the big afro for a TV game. He wouldn’t do it. So disappointing …
