This will be the 103rd consecutive year of losing for the Flubbies, having broken their record for the longest losing streak in the history of mankind sports last season with their 102nd consecutive year of losing!

The Pirates haven't broken .500 for 18 consecutive seasons now, but when it comes to losing, they are still over 8 DECADES behind catching the Flubs when it comes to losing!

Pujois to the Cubs at the end of the season would make perfect sense, as Pena will be a free agent again (opening up IB), and the bad contracts of now lazy/disinterested Ramirez ($16.5M), mistake Fukudome ($12.5M), and about to be released Silva ($11.5M), come off the books, BUT....

The Flubs new owner (Ricketts), is deeply concerned about how he can con/embezzle/strong arm either the City of Chicago and/or the Illinois State legislature to cough up the reported $250M needed to repair/refurbish his aged PRIVATELY OWNED Wrigley Field before one of the drunks in the bleachers gets conked on the head with a big old chunk of concrete from the crumbling structure and files a big old lawsuit.

If you add in the estimated cost of repairs to repair Wrigley Field (which would be about half of what it would cost to replace it elsewhere), to what Ricketts paid for the Flubs, that would put him over $300M under water (based on the latest Forbes reports), over what he paid for the franchise.

That begs the question, will Ricketts authorize another $300M expenditure needed to likely sign Pujois? His (albeit brief), track record says no. Even if the Flubs were to sign Pujois though, they still will have to find a replacement for Ramirez at third (the Cubs farm system projects to be strong enough to not miss Fukudome much).

In the wake of the failing finances of the Dah-years and Mets, Commissioner Bud the Dud is also sabre rattling to clamp down on MLB franchise financing. That would make the Flubs going $600M in the hole in serious question, which would happen if they were to meet Pujois contract demands.

The most important milestone of our lifetimes though comes in April, 2015, when the Flubs will officially become the first sports team in the recorded history of mankind to have achieved 100 consecutive years of losing in the same home yard/facility! Go Flubs! Make it happen!!!

This is very troubling news, as it's one of the rare times under Flubs GM Jim Hendry's leadership that Flubs management seems to have an actual clue! I was really looking forward to the annual mid-season meltdowns by both head-cases Silva and Zambrano, but now I only have Zambrano's annual temper tantrum to look forward to.

On the other hand though, Silva will look very sporting in Yankee pinstripes as soon as he clears waivers and is officially released. Add another member to the Yankees growing bone-yard of has beens, folks!

Hey uyfy! former ground breaking Vice Presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro died today. How about filling us all in as to what's going to happen to her estate and how much her estate is going to get hit with estate taxes? Nice unique hobby you have going there, fella!
