Andrew McCutchen

Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen tried to talk himself into Sunday’s lineup against the Cubs and was successful at first, but Pittsburgh’s coaches and trainers eventually decided to play it safe.

According to Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Jose Tabata is playing center field on Sunday afternoon at Wrigley Field with Matt Diaz covering left and Garrett Jones covering right.

McCutchen is only battling a bit of neck soreness and should be fine after a day or two of rest. He is 2-for-7 to open the season with a home run, two walks and two RBI. He has not yet attempted a steal.

A friend of mine in Pittsburgh sent me the real, uncensored story:

McCutchen scratched from Saturday’s lineup with a “stiffie”

Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen tried to talk himself into Sunday’s lineup against the Cubs and was successful at first, but Pittsburgh’s coaches and trainers eventually decided that it would be hard to disguise his ailment from the probing WGN TV cameras.

According to Rob Biertermfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Jose Tabata is playing center field on Sunday afternoon at Wrigley Field with Matt Diaz covering left and Garrett Jones covering right.

McCutchen is only battling an erection/stiff dick that resulted from him confusing his viagra prescription with a bottle of Advil, and took “three or four” of them, resulting in the unwanted long lasting stiffie (which made some of the guys dressing in the locker room to become extremely nervous).

Because his erection lasted more than four hours, he was sent to a local doctor, but should be fine after a day or two of rest. He is 2-for-7 to open the season with a home run, two walks and two RBI. He has not yet attempted a steal.
