Any news on how his defense was? I’m assuming they’re sticking to the plan and leaving him as an OFer. For a bigger dude this kid has some wheels to be getting bunt singles. If he continues to tear thru the minors I’ll bet the Nats open the circus, try to sell some tickets and give him a september call up just for the hype of it.

Seems odd (although I know it’s conventional) to say it’s his first professional at bat considering he played in the Arizona Fall League and in spring training.

Drew, thanks for the update on him. I hope it’s not the last we’ll hear of him, and am also hoping we’ll get brief periodic updates about his progress from you going forward. It’ll be interesting to see how he moves through the Nationals system.
