It’s called front office genius. When you lose a 101 games last year and do nothing in the off season to aquire anyone that hits for contact other than Kennedy, you play the hand your dealt. Wedge and Chambliss have their hands tied. If Seattle could get the opposition to spot them three runs every game, like Toronto did the other night, they might be competitive. They certainly have the pitching.

I sense there will be no intentional pass issued to Mr.Kennedy this evening. Is there something wrong with Milton Bradley as a DH? His performance in left field against the Jays, while not seriously bumbling, seemed slow. I bet he could easily be matched by Kennedy and at least you’d have a fielder who didn’t have ear plugs in. Kennedy could bat ninth and nearly anyone could follow Ichiro. Hell, move Ichiro to 2nd or 3rd; way he hits let him drive in some runs.
