Unfortunately, it’s the utility role. That role is relatively easy to fill for a mid payroll team, as Adam LaRoche is showing so far this year, and Adam Kennedy showed 2 years ago. Outside Oakland, I think dixie’s reaction (above) is probably typical. Here in NorCal, we all feel bad for how this injury has affected Rosales, but…Oakland is .500 now, they were just about .500 last year, etc.. Having Rosales on the roster, not having him…not a lot of impact there.
