HBT Daily: Taking reader questions

Apr 20, 2011, 12:00 PM EDT

The fattest rotation ever? Which team wins if baseball is like a Survivor Series brawl and is it time for the robots?

Everyone liked me taking questions from Twitter last week — it was the most-viewed HBT Daily yet — that we decided to do it again.

Home run for you Craig! David Wells and anybody=fattest rotation ever, maybe include you-know-who as well to keep it up to date.

Craig; are you hedging your bets so the machines spare you? It won’t work, you know. They’ll come for your first.

Heaviest rotation ever? I think any rotation that has Sabbathia & Colon in it wins. That’s 600+ lbs of heavy a$$ed pitching.

According to GQ the Red Sox would have had the fattest bullpen this season with 2 of the top 10 heaviest men in MLB with the combination of Dennys Reyes and Bobby Jenks. Sadly the “unambiguously fat duo” has been broken up.

They weren’t both starters, but the mid-70s Cubs with the Reuschel brothers had the heftiest staff going.
