Not that it doesn’t make sense for the Pirates to be picking up this kind of player (failed prospect who’s still somewhat young), but I can’t get behind this. Wood is probably the worst player in major league baseball. In almost a full season’s worth of playing time over the course of his career, his OBP is under .200. No typo, that’s a 2, t-w-o. There’s no words to even describe how bad that is.
