Carpenter is intriguing, great Spring, but has started slow in Memphis. Most likely, Craig will come off the DL, and get some starts at 3B. He has improved greatly over there, but is still a work in progress as an infielder. But he can hit, so he may get a majority of the starts, and then be replaced defensively, or moved to RF, when the Cards are ahead, giving Berkman some rest in the late innings.
