I really think you're being unfair to the Rockies' FO on Stewart. It wasn't just 26 st-bats. It was 26 HORRID at bats in which he struck out 11 times, hit ZERO line drives and got just two fluky infield hits. He was hurt for most of spring training and was not ready for the regular season, as was evident with every at-bat. He just needed to go some place to get some reps before he came back. It was about his injury robbing him of ST more than the 26 ABs. He still would have been in the majors if he had played in ST.
