I’m not sure if you’re trolling or a sociopath yourself, but if we’re doing eye-for-an-eye for this kid… then he needs his car stolen. Which would probably be less of a punishment than he hopefully gets.

I’m not sure about the American justice system, but in the Netherlands, you can be charged with criminal negligence when you could have saved someone had you acted as was reasonably expected, but failed to do so. In this case calling 911 could have saved the guy he was robbing.

For those of you whose reading comprehension skills seem to be failing you, please re-read the blog. It would appear that the INITIAL reports of this gentleman being found dead in his car have been clarified by the more recent “filling in the details” report which includes the carjacking youth. Like Craig said, try taking a few deep breaths before assaulting the keyboard next time.

What a tool you must be. Blow some holes in a 17 year old kid you’ve never met? You don’t even know the freaking story…hell Craig says the kid stole his wallet and took him out of the car then goes on to say he was found dead in his car. It’s pretty obvious none of you know what the hell actually happened….and you want to put holes in a freaking kid. Pathetic.

On whose authority do we know that the man was having a heart attack first? Doesn’t it seem just as likely that he had a heart attack while being carjacked, from the stress?

I don’t advocate it for the sake of doing it or doing it just for fun. But to sort of equal things out in severe crimes, sure, go for it. This dude didn’t boost a pack of gum from a 7-11, or even boost a car without harming anybody, he robbed a guy and left him to die. That’s horrible. He deserves some “equaling up”.

Thumbs down, really? I’m asking a serious question. I thought to be criminally negligent would be something where a lack of attention caused a death, more or less an accident that still needs to be punished. This doesn’t sound like it was an accident.

I’m always amazed at how many people just seem hardwired for murder. The minute we feel like our moral calculus will let us get away with it, we’re all about the kill-frenzy. We should blow a few holes in the kid? Maybe let him panic and suffer? Really? I gotta be honest, I do not think that is a healthy reaction.
