It has been reported that Tony L. facial infection is the Shingles. The adult form of chickenpox and it gets much worse with stress. It can be physical, emotional, or illness that exacerbate these symptoms. It is extremely painful and there are few drugs to treat it directly. It’s a testament to TLR that he still manages with this illness, knowing that your skin feels as if it on fire. Thanks Tony!!!

Tony Balogna’s eye infection is caused for way too many years of overuse writing in double switches, which is the one passion he has that gives him a reason to live. Doesn’t matter whether or not the situation warrants a double switch, because La Russa makes one EVERY time! Just another reason for the NL to have to implement the DH as Bud’s final act as commissioner, acting in “the best interests of baseball!”

For an allegedly very smart guy, LaRussa is being pretty stupid. Most infections be they viral or bacterial can be contagious. And he is potentially spreading whatever he has to the players and public.
