Heck, that is nothing. Last year the Mariner’s lost a walk-off game by letting a runner score from first on a strike out wild pitch.

Want to see a guy score from home on a bunt? Okay, I don’t actually have video, but on June 4, 2001, against the Indians, Cristian Guzman bunted with two outs and a runner on 3rd. Ricardo Rincon launched the ball into right field and Juan Gonzalez struggled to track it down, allowing Guzman (who dove into first base) to score. Or, as Baseball Reference puts it:

Single to P (Bunt); Rivas Scores; Guzman Scores/Adv on E1 (throw)/unER/No RBI

It’s a good baseball town, and a GREAT park–my all-time favorite. Just the right mix of big-league and minor-league. They draw 10K on weeknights and sell out almost every weekend game, top 10 in attendance in the minors every year.

I went to an Isotopes game earlier in the season where Gordon attempted to go 1st to 3rd on a sac bunt, without an error. He got thrown out, but good to know he didn’t let that get him down.

Oh, and way to bury the lede! It was a walk-off win on this play!
