I don't think 3 no hitters in a row will ever be done. That's why I asked which record will be tied first. If JVM hadn't done two I would have said that was impossible but obviously it's not. Three in a row is about as likely as hitting the moon with a rock from the top of Mt.
Neither. These are records that will never be broken because the game has changed. A no-hitter is tough enough, but three? No even throws complete games anymore! And Dimaggio during his streak was facing pitchers in the late innings that had thrown 130 pitches. Today he'd be facing specialists and guys that are fresh and throw 102 mph. Big difference.
Some others:
Cy Young - 511 wins
Hack Wilson - 191 RBI
Bob Gibson - 1.12 ERA
Cal Ripken - 2,632 consecutive games played
Ty Cobb - .366 career batting average
The interesting thing will be to watch for someone to hit .400. I thought Ichiro would come closer than he has, but he doesn't walk much and doesn't get injured. You need someone to play just enough to qualify for the title, and who walks a decent amount - like Brett in 1980. Tony Gwynn's .394 was incredible, given that he doesn't fit either criteria. Someone will hit .400 though.

This is the third or fourth start in a row that has been "pushed back" for Liriano for assorted reasons. if he can't go every 5, why don't they just come out and say so?
