Moylan went into a little more detail in talking with David O'Brien of the AJC, saying that he had the same surgery on the same disc when he was in Australia and was back no the mound in 8 weeks. Of course he's older now and may need to reach a fuller recovery to face ML hitters, but he also has the advantage of a ML rehab program (and the fact that he throws sidearm now vs. overhand before should help too).

I'm not saying he'll be back in 8 weeks again, but even if the 12 weeks becomes 16 weeks he could be a valuable "September callup" for a team who expects to be competing for the postseason around that time. I'd actually be more surprised if he doesn't pitch again this season.
