If there was ever a good example of why you DON’T SIGN RELIEVERS TO MULTI-YEAR DEALS….this is it. Also, simply having a stats guy around to bounce your ideas off might have helped the Tigers too…Benoit’s BABIP last year was a career-best .192 and he stranded base-runners at a 95.1% clip.
