I didnt watch the game, but i saw all the highlights so in my opinion i think this was one of the yankees best games this season, because they had great defense and offense late in the game. A rod is starting to hit and jeter is hitting almost everygame now and Gardner is starting to get his average up, so if they yankees keep this up they will be first place in no time. but good game.

My friend, I would think at some point he will get released. The Yankees only signed him I believe for $1.5M so if they release him in the next month they will only be on the hook for the balance of the $1.5M about $.9M
When Chavez gets back they have to make room on the roster for him because it looks like Dickerson is more then capable of filling in as the 4th outfielder may be even the 3rd outfielder if Swisher's game doesn't start to pick up.
At least that's my opinion.

uyf1950... What in the world are they going to do with Andruw Jones? I figured he wouldn't hit for much of an average, but this guy doesn't hit at all. I think the last two at bats of his were called third strikes and before the ump even gets his arm up he is walking away. Marcus Thames was part of murders row compared to Jones. I wish they would have resigned him rather than Jones.

Anybody else find this game eerily similar to last nights red sox game? One team gets out to a 3-1 lead early only to have the other team score 8 in the 8th and the score to end 9-3? What are the odds of watching two back to back games that transpire exactly the same in a very odd manner?

Obviously, I'm enthralled with the seventh inning and it's good to see a rally late, which is Yankee-like. Overall, I liked Saturday's game better Ka-Booms from four different batters.
Either way is fine, let's cruise through the Jays one way or the other. Keep our GIGANTIC .003 advantage over the second-place Rays.

Ivan Nova was the surprising winner for the Yankees.
I'll say. Nova left the game with 2 out in the top of the 7th, Ayala gets the win

After a rough 3 weeks approximately for A-Rod he has been lights outs for the last week. To the point where he has his average up to .284 for .242 on May 16th. Granderson continues to hit HR's including #16 in this game. Even Gardner's up to .267 from .154 exactly 1 month ago. Good series for the Yankee offense and pitchers. That's just my opinion.
