Craig – all is forgiven when you endorse my blog – the Todd Van Poppel Rookie Card Retirement Plan as the best way to find forgotten Oakland A’s info on the web from a site that isn’t Athletics Nation.

Athletics Nation sucks. Its full of self-important morons who actually think Daric Mendoza is a viable major league baseball player.

While I’m a fan of Barton (though not his hitting as of late) I am not a self-important moron! So visit my site haha

Hey, if we’re pimping our A’s sites here …
We’re full of self-important geniuses.

Yay A’s sites! We need a central repository, so we can all check out each other’s stuff. Lot of great A’s fans out there with lots to say.

Totally agree. That community has succumbed to groupthink, and not much is open for discussion after it’s been previously mentioned in a game thread. In the past, if you were to point out a three-year decline in Jack Cust’s ISO and all you would get were fans plugging their ears screaming “OBP!!!” I bet if you went on today and said that Cust only has one homer in 173 plate appearances, someone would tell you that he also has five bases-loaded walks and that you don’t understand the value of on-base percentage.
