Lenny Dykstra tried to break Doc Gooden out of “Celebrity Rehab”

When a story involves Doc Gooden on Drew Pinsky’s “Celebrity Rehab,” and neither Gooden nor Pinsky is the biggest freakshow in the story, that can only mean one thing: Dykstra.

That’s the story from Gooden who, while on WFAN yesterday, told Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton that Dykstra tried to break him out of rehab during the shooting of the show because he thought Gooden was being hypnotized or held against his will or something.  Which is silly: Gooden and the others on that show are merely being exploited and humiliated, Lenny, not held hostage!

Actually, now that I think about it, I wonder if this may not have been a rare instance in which Dykstra was trying to do the right thing …

I used to love Dr. Drew on the Loveline radio show with Adam Carolla. I don’t listen to the show anymore or watch his television shows, but I get the impression he has sorta sold out and become an entertainer more than a physician.

Does this guy hire out for birthday parties?

Nails was my favorite player growing up, I loved the way he played the game. Not sure if that’s an indictment on my sanity…

Rumor has it that Lenny soaked a handkerchief in tiger’s blood and tried to subdue Doc with it.

Lenny is the man. He does some dumb sh*t sometimes that leaves you scratching your head, but he is the type of guy that would do anything for his friends. If I’m going into a fight, I’d want that bulldog in my corner.

Good, you can have him in your corner just hold onto your wallet when you’re fighting.

I wonder if Dykstra took any of the house fixtures with him on the way out.

I couldn’t agree more. He might rob you after the fact though

    Typical Phillie scumbag.

You really need help. Lashing out like you do isn’t healthy.

I bet Dykstra could have some really good conversations with Randy Quaid and his wife regarding mind control, celebrities being knocked off, etc.
