Geren, guy has got to go,,, I nominate Godzilla as player manager, been a while since we had one of those,, would be cool, communication might be an issue with the language and all, but really think it would be fine,, thinking more on it, and love it. Suzuki can be his bench coach and wear the shin guards,, love it,,

I think Wolff is dead on. Geren is great, so is Ellis hitting .200, Kouzmanoff hitting .200 and Barton hitting .200. Fuentes and his 5.00 ERA are the very epitome of lockdown closer, and the medical crew has been great in keeping 60% of our rotation healthy. Matsui is exceeding all expectations, as are other new additions Willingham and DeJesus. The ballpark is packed day in/day out and is routinely discussed as one of the preeminent places in MLB to catch a game. The A’s finally are getting some distance between them and the Mariners this is an unquestionable success. Don’t change a thing! Stay the course Lew!!

Lew’s making money following the Angelos formula: empty ballpark, small payroll + big revenue sharing = profitable enterprise.

Geren doesn’t rock the boat. And who cares what the Oakland fans want? Lew will be seeing games somewhere else before long.
