JC is a bum. But so is Herndon, despite a decent showing last night. Waivering over the two of them is futile.

The more interesting questions/decisions will arise when Lidge is ready to come back. With Utley not being an every-day guy and the platooning of the corners in the outfield, we need to keep a deeper Bench. As a result, we’ll have less room in the Pen.

I don’t want Stutes to go back down, but he seems like he’ll be at-risk. He’s playing great, even playing in the past 3 consecutive games. Bastardo is a must keep. Kendrick will likely stick around. Despite the rabbit that Baez pulled out of his ass last night (which was certainly clutch, I’m not discoutning the performance), he’s just as painful to watch on the mound, otherwise. But he’s getting $$$ and would neve be sent down.

We’ll see what happens. It wouldn’t be Baseball if the Phillies didn’t have to play musical chairs with the Pen.

I agree. Romero would have cleared waivers. Should let him work on stuff in AAA. He has been terrible in virtually every outing this season. Also, Herndon has looked good since he was called back up. Looks to have sorted out a mechanical flaw.

Good news that Contreras is back. But, I would have rathered the Phillies release Romero instead of sending Herndon down. I can’t take Romero any longer.
