R.A. Dickey left today’s start in the third inning after injuring his right heel covering first base.

Andy Martino of the New York Daily News writes that Dickey “fell onto the grass and ultimately needed help leaving the field.”

He’s scheduled to be examined back in New York tomorrow, but for now the Mets are calling the injury “pain in the bottom of the heel and the foot.”

    Ah crap.

Good luck to ya R.A. Read some good books while on the DL.

I second the motion. My Canadian friend here doesn’t know much about baseruning, but he can sure spot a kindred spirit in a time of distress. Literate pitchers are rarer than nipples in a Victoria’s Secret catalogue.
