		<description><![CDATA[I wouldn&#039;t say wasted. The Mets had a pretty damn good team in 1999 and 2000. As well as, 2006 - 2008 where they made it to the 2006 NLCS and missed the playoffs by one game each year after. Other then Perez and Castillo all the other &quot;crappy&quot; players were in there prime before the injury curse hit.
I can&#039;t comment on before then, I wasn&#039;t a fan until Piazza joined.]]></description>

And he has been right so far about the financial problems not affecting the operation of the team. The payroll increased this season over last season. The fact that it will decrease next season is something he has stated since he took the job.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Is that comment coming from the same Sandy Alderson that this winter and spring said he didn&#039;t think the Mets had financial difficulties when he took the job and later on didn&#039;t he say something to the effect that any financial issues would not effect the operation of the Mets.  Now we all know both of those comments weren&#039;t accurate.  What would make anyone think his latest prediction might be accurate.  That&#039;s just my opinion.]]></description>
